Jane Y. Walls
"Keep your face towards the sunshine, and the shadows will fall behind you."
--Walt Whitman
Jane is a Houston, TX native, and lives in Spring, TX with her husband and assorted pets. She graduated from Texas A&M with a Bachelor degree in Political Science with a minor in History. This, and her passion for education, lead her to be a Middle/Elementary school Social Studies/Special Education teacher in HISD, Spring ISD, and then in Conroe ISD.
While working as a teacher, Jane noticed some issues with the way children with Autism were being educated in public school. While working in Spring ISD, Jane met 2 other like minded individuals and started the non-profit organization ASD Hope, Inc. This organization was founded with the goal of opening a school for children with Autism, called Texas Autism Academyl, using Jane’s innovative model that combined ABA Methodologies in a school setting.
Jane now joins her brother, Armando Bernal, to start Autism International as the Business Director, in order to help children, teens, and adults with behavioral struggles.
